Dongping National Forest Park

Dongping National Forest Park is located in the middle of Chongming Island, with lush trees and fresh air, away from the urban areas. You can have a barbecue with three or five friends, or rent a bicycle to ride around the park. Summer is a good place to take a summer break. If there are many people, you can also play paintballs; children can play bumper cars, turn horses and other rides.

The Forest Park has two doors, the main entrance to Gate 1 in the south and the Gate 2 in the southwest. The park is relatively large, many tourists will choose to rent bicycles at the doorstep. Single bicycles cost 10 yuan per hour (20 RMB for double cars). It is not expensive. You can take a round trip in the park for 2 hours. You can also take a battery car (30 RMB per person) or a small train ring park (20 RMB per person), which saves time and effort.

Entering the park from Gate 1, most of the entertainment facilities and experience items are concentrated on the right-hand side, with paintball, archery, horseback riding, go-karting, grass skiing, as well as pedal boats, water walking balls and other water entertainment.

There are also nurseries in the park, such as Gui Garden, Mei Garden, Sakura Garden, Bamboo Garden and Maple Garden.

There are barbecue areas and camping bases in the depths of the park and you can bring your own ingredients or buy ingredients in the barbecue area. But, try to avoid holidays as there are a lot of people in the barbecue area. You can also take a tent to rest on the large lawn, or even spend the night in the camping area, experience wildlife, and there are tents and sleeping bags for rent in the park.
