Fuxing Park

Originally farmland, Fuxing Park is one of the earliest parks opened in Shanghai. Some 80 years ago, a family named Gu developed a small private garden called “Gujia House Garden”, which was the original prototype of Fuxing Park.

Fuxing Park, also called Gujiazhai Park, is now the only French-style park in Shanghai. The tone is a regular garden layout, and the southwestern part is transformed into a natural style. In recent years, a large number of new flowers and trees have been added. The total number of shrubs and plants total more than 10,000. Among them, there are many towering suzuki, the proportion of which is the first in Shanghai Park, and there are precious trees such as horse chestnut, eucalyptus, and sweet gum.

Key areas of the park are the Rockery, Lotus Pond, China Rose Garden, Carpet Flower Bed, Old Tree, and Statue Square.

Fuxing Park is extremely lively at night and the French nostalgic atmosphere is matched with the colorful nightlife.
