The World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center is a modern building in a very convenient location featuring regular international trade shows and fairs. It’s actually part of the old expo site.

Hotels near the World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center (SWEECC)
There is not a lot of hotels within walking distance of this venue, actually, there is not a lot of hotels in this part of Pudong. I suggest choosing any hotel that is near a metro station on 7, 8, or 13.
It’s a five-star hotel in the heart of Shanghai and steps away from Huaihai Road Station on line 13. It features a pool, spa & massage, jacuzzi, sauna, and gym. It also has three restaurants on site and as a bonus, it’s often available below $100. It takes 13 minutes by metro to reach the exhibition center costing just 3 RMB.
The beauty of this hotel is its location, right on Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, right next to People’s Square and all its attractions plus the metro station of the same name. If you would like a super convenient location to easily catch some of Shanghai’s attractions then this is a great choice. Walk to the metro and take line 8 to the exhibition in about 13 mins cost 3 RMB. The hotel is quite opulent featuring heated pool, spa, massage, sauna, and gym.
It’s a good value 3 star hotel that is about 13 minutes walk from the exhibition center. It is close to Yoahan Road Station, so you could take the metro one station to China Art Museum and walk through River Mall to the exhibition center.
Attractions near the World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center (SWEECC)
- The hall itself does not have a huge array of amenities but that is more than taken care of by the adjacent River Mall which features shopping and loads of dining options including coffee shops.
- It’s also near the very famous China Pavillion from Expo 2010 which is now a museum.
- A short walk away is Expo Park, a green strip alongside the Huangpu River.
