The Shanghai International Convention Center (or conference center by some maps) is located on the Binjiang Avenue in Pudong, across the river from the Bund buildings. Together with Oriental Pearl and Jinmao Tower, forming a famous landscape in the Lujiazui area.
The Shanghai International Convention Center has been renowned for hosting large-scale international conferences and business forums. There are 28 multi-functional conference halls of different sizes and styles, all equipped with the most advanced high-tech audio-visual systems and simultaneous interpretation equipment.
The most fascinating part of the entire conference center building is the 11th-floor roof garden and the open-air sightseeing gallery. The roof garden is located in the buildings huge glass sphere. The garden is filled with fresh ornamental trees. There is also a sightseeing platform in the sphere. Visitors can enjoy the view of the Huangpu River and the Bund. The rooftop sightseeing corridor is 100 meters long. The upper level is the sightseeing layer and the lower level is the leisure floor. The two sides of the corridor are connected to the sphere.
The onsite hotel which has hosted numerous world dignitaries in its glory days is the Oriental Riverside Hotel which has 273 rooms, several restaurants, entertainment and fitness facilities.
