Shanghai World Financial Center (SWFC) – Visitor Guide

Shanghai World Financial Center is high-rise skyscraper located in Lujiazui, Pudong New Area. Construction began in  1995 and completed in August 2008. It stands at 492 meters high, featuring 101 floors it’s China’s third highest high-rise and the second highest in Shanghai behind the Shanghai Tower (632 m).

Shanghai World Financial Center is an integrated building with business, hotel, sightseeing and other facilities. It is located beside the Jin Mao Tower and Shanghai Tower.

At the time of completion, it claimed the titles

1. the world’s highest in the restaurant, located on the 93rd floor at 416 meters
2. the world’s highest swimming pool, located on the 85th floor at 366 meters
3. the world’s tallest hotel, located on floors 79 to 93, the Park Hyatt Hotel was the world’s tallest hotel.

Most of those titles will be overtaken by its new neighbor, the Shanghai Tower.

There is a mall at ground level with fine restaurants, and you’ll find bars and restaurants in the Hyatt Regency between floors 79 to 93.

Sky Gate B1F

Sky Gate on B1 F provides an excellent and entertaining introduction to Shanghai as first stop for this brilliant visit. The city’s rapid development is illustrated by many high-tech displays, and a vibrant miniature model of the city is included, which is said to be the most realistic in the world.

Shopping & Leisure B2 to 3rd F

There are 30 or so restaurants located here of varied cuisines including names such as Blue Frog Bar & Grill, Element Fresh, Starbucks, and the Grand Jiayou food court. Shops include some boutique stores, banks, and convenience stores.

Park Hyatt Hotel 79 – 93 F

Sky Arena 94 F (423 m)

Sky Arena is 8 m high and covers an area of 760 sq meters. A viewing deck and event area with lounge.

Sky Walk 97 F (439 m)

This place looks like a sky bridge. The glass roof especially creates a wonderful feeling of walking on clouds. It is also the highest open-air observation deck in the world.

Offers glass-floored and walled walkways to really get engaged with staggering height and stunning views of the city.
